A 'French Country' Memory Book - G45

Hey all!

Wow this year is zipping pass fast, right? I managed to get MOST of my Christmas shopping done. I made quite a few handmade gifts to give away this year. Can't just let the scrap supplies go to waste. I know I'll want more in the New Year - so I gotta make space, lol!

This brings us to the project at hand, my vertical Graphic45 French Country mini album. This is a design team project for Scrapyland (link on side bar).  I'm giving this item as a gift to a friend. I'm sure she will load it with lots of pictures! This book is 5 pages and has the ability to hold 20 photos (4x6)!! Here is a peek at the book:

I started with black cardstock as my base to build my pages. I had to use score tape to hold this together. I don't want anything falling apart!  The cover is made out of chipboard, with black cardstock over that. I used some silk flowers that I got from my local Dollar Tree - they sure came in handy. I also added some bleached twine to the cluster.  I wanted to keep the cover simple, since the recipient is not a scrapper.  I added some ribbon that I got from a friend; it was part of her packaging. I try to save all things cute to reuse later! It was perfect for this book. The ribbon serves as a closure and is threaded between two eyelets. Here is a close-up:

So cute! I fussy cut some of the G45 French Country paper and layered it on the side to add interest. The side profile is narrow and clean - Love it!

For the back, I simply used a postage shaped die cut. I will use this to be a background for my signature.

Here is a look of the pages. I just used the 4x6 die cut -outs from the collection to layer the front of the pages. Worked out great!

Here is another picture of the book lying on the side. You can see the die cuts a bit better.

As I mentioned earlier, the book can hold 20 photos. There is space on the front and back of the 5 pages - for 10 photos. Then the inserts have spaces for 10 more. There is an option to put journaling on 1 side. Here are the tag inserts:

So that's it guys! I have a clean, simple, quick and easy album for you today. I hope you enjoy it and will try this at home. Please visit Scrapyland (side bar) to get your score tape and the G45 French Country stack! You'll love the papers and the extras!!

Stop by my Facebook page or youtube channel if you can, I'd love to see ya there!

Scrappy Hugs,

Tmika
