Yes, Another Card!!

I promise, for those of you reading today - this is my last post of the day.  I gave myself a 15 minute challenge to create a card. I LOVE the card that I did with the box. Since I already had a sketch - I decided to dupe it - with different colors. This card went to my friend Donna.  I finished the card in 20 minutes - but who's counting? lol!

 

So CUTE!!! I love how this turn out..I hope you got a chance to check out the original card (in blue and yellow) to see what I went off of..

Hey all!!

Ok, here is another card I created for a YT challenge. I'm starting to get more and more into the challenges AND as a added bonus my HOARD VAULT! What is the point of buying all this gorgeous stuff - and not use it? It's hard - I'll be the first to admit it..

Anywhoo, here is the video I created for the challenge hosted by craftychica87 and lavishlaces. The challenge was to use a sexy man on the cover of your card, three words to describe why you think he's sexy and stickles. Here is what I came up with..

 

Ain't he SEXY??? I can say that because that is my fiance, Robert. He was willing to do a 'home' photo shoot for me to enter the challenge! Thanks so much honey for being a great sport! I love you!

Card Making Mood

Hey Everybody!!

Loooong time no seee! I'm happy to be posting back again..I've been doing videos a lot, but I'm getting back into the habbit of posting. So let's get to it.

Today, I have THREE posts for you (gotta catch up right?) So I'll start with a challenge that I participated in. (which by the way - I'll be doing more of) This was a YT challenge hosted by BaCraftyGirl. Some of these post will have videos attached. Here is the video of what I created. What? Paper Jewelry?!

Yes, you read it right! Paper jewelry - who wouldda thunk it? To my surprise this has been around for a while -nobody told me, though :(  The Cutting Cafe has just created some AWESOME paper beading files, boxes and earring holders! You absolutely have to check her out! You can not only use the boxes as great gift giving packages - but if you are one who does crafts fairs - this is an excellent way to display your projects!!

Take a look see at what I did with just ONE of the files..Beware- I'm Addicted!!

Below is a bracelet that I made for my son - it is using a different shaped file (also included in the set :) Take a look...

 

He is gone to love this!! It looks just like the ones he already wears -only I made it..WITH PAPER!

Christmas Themed 3x3 Note Card Swap

Well guys...here we are again!! I just love making these cute little buggers - don't you? This month we will be gearing up for a Merry and Bright Christmas - with Note Cards!

The requirements are simple:

*Must make the required amount of 3x3 note cards (GROUPS BELOW)

*Must be Christmas themed  any colors are fine - just needs to follow the theme.

*There has to be at least 2 embellishments on your card. An example can be buttons, flowers, lace, trims, beads, charms..etc (this can definately be done- ive seen it!)

*You must include an envelope (you can buy or make these yourself)

*When you are packaging your swap, please be sure to have your yt/name/group on the package - so that I can identify you awesome creations

*All cards have to be the same (or very similar)

*Please include a return envelope with AT LEAST the same amount of postage that it took to mail it

Altered Spinach Cans?

Yep, you heard (read) it correctly! I altered two old spinach cans as an entry into Discountpapercrafts Design Team call. I was in the mood for a little Shabby Chic! Check out this picture:

So Cute!! I started with a base paint of vanilla and coated the inside of the cans and the shadow box. I used an old picture frame shadow box as my base. I went over some of the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink and mod podged some of the corners with some old newspaper that I had in my stash. I also added a Tim Holtz glass bottle to the arrangement with a little of the vanilla paint on the inside. A couple of silk flowers, bottle caps and some flowers later..TA-DA!!!

 

 

I handmade two huge flowers from different types of lace that I had, some seam binding and trim.I topped that with a resin/pearl rose for my center. There are two of these flowers on my project.

 

 

 

I added some lace and pearl trim to the bottom of the box for some definition.

 

 

 

And lastly, I topped it with a sign that says "create" and added chinese braiding and flat pearls to the rim of the can. 

 

 

 

 

 

This project is beautiful (to me) and I am so proud to have this on my desk to look at..

Halloween Series #1 Spooky Spiders

Hey all!!

I am so excited about the upcoming Halloween projects! Crafting in the 'spooky' tense is AWESOME!!

I have been playing with my paper and thought it would be an awesome idea to start a Halloween series! This can give others cute, quick and easy ideas to use your old paper scraps and gift your candy in a creative way! It's a win-win, right?

To start us off - The Cutting Cafe has great halloween files available.. She has them in jpg, svg, wpc - so you can cut them out on your cutting machine or print them and use hand scissors..Any will work just fine. You absolutely have to check out Regina's store!! You won't be disappointed!!

I did a video on these items, if you want a more detailed look!! :)

First up is a Spider Treat box, he is so cute..Take a peek:

 

Ok next up is the Spider and Their Webs printable set. I loved the web image on this file.. There is a lot of space to include a sentiment and still be 'creepy' at the same time, lol! Here it is:

 

 

And finally, the CUTEST spider web EVER!! This adorable card is sure to be a hit when you give it away (if you can). Check out this cute little thang:

Cardz TV Challenge #16 Buttons and Boo's!

Hey all!! I decided to play along in a challenge Mary's channel (Cartztv). She is awesome and so are her challenges!! You had to create a card, Layout or Craft project using buttons. I love playing with my halloween paper. Here is what I came up with:

So Cute!! I love how it came out! Here's what I did and more pics: (of course)


I used Ecko Park's Chillingsworth Manor paper collection.My base is 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 black cardstock.  I popped a piece of the banner from the collection on pop dots.  I used 3 black buttons to accent the banner and ties black string through the center - to add pizzazz!

I backed the sentiment on black cardstock and mounted that on the left hand side of the card.  I added a sticker gate to the right side, underneath the sentiment. Topped it with a popped up crow

The inside is finished with more of the patterened paper and a contrasting color border, punched with a Martha Stewart punch.

Sweet Nothings Stamp Co. Creative Challenge

Hey all!!

I have decided to take the plundge and enter into a contest! Yep, I did. Sweet Nothings Stamp Co. is having a creative challenge over on their blog. The challenge was to use this beautiful Autumn Color Palette..

Isn't it cute? This was definately a challenge for me - as I would not normally use these colors both together and at all. But I was proven wrong. My card came out SO CUTE!!

Oh, a few more, lol :)

The cute little girl on the stamp is none other than Balloon Sophie.. you can find her here.

The other products that i used were IamRoses and Wild Orchard Crafts flowers, Lindy's Stamp Gang (tuscan sun), seam binding, paper doily, glossy accents, jute rope and pearl strands.
