Halloween Series #1 Spooky Spiders

Hey all!!

I am so excited about the upcoming Halloween projects! Crafting in the 'spooky' tense is AWESOME!!

I have been playing with my paper and thought it would be an awesome idea to start a Halloween series! This can give others cute, quick and easy ideas to use your old paper scraps and gift your candy in a creative way! It's a win-win, right?

To start us off - The Cutting Cafe has great halloween files available.. She has them in jpg, svg, wpc - so you can cut them out on your cutting machine or print them and use hand scissors..Any will work just fine. You absolutely have to check out Regina's store!! You won't be disappointed!!

First up is a Spider Treat box, he is so cute..Take a peek:

 

Ok next up is the Spider and Their Webs printable set. I loved the web image on this file.. There is a lot of space to include a sentiment and still be 'creepy' at the same time, lol! Here it is:

 

 

And finally, the CUTEST spider web EVER!! This adorable card is sure to be a hit when you give it away (if you can). Check out this cute little thang:

Cardz TV Challenge #16 Buttons and Boo's!

Hey all!! I decided to play along in a challenge Mary's channel (Cartztv). She is awesome and so are her challenges!! You had to create a card, Layout or Craft project using buttons. I love playing with my halloween paper. Here is what I came up with:

So Cute!! I love how it came out! Here's what I did and more pics: (of course)


I used Ecko Park's Chillingsworth Manor paper collection.My base is 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 black cardstock.  I popped a piece of the banner from the collection on pop dots.  I used 3 black buttons to accent the banner and ties black string through the center - to add pizzazz!

I backed the sentiment on black cardstock and mounted that on the left hand side of the card.  I added a sticker gate to the right side, underneath the sentiment. Topped it with a popped up crow

The inside is finished with more of the patterened paper and a contrasting color border, punched with a Martha Stewart punch.

Sweet Nothings Stamp Co. Creative Challenge

Hey all!!

I have decided to take the plundge and enter into a contest! Yep, I did. Sweet Nothings Stamp Co. is having a creative challenge over on their blog. The challenge was to use this beautiful Autumn Color Palette..

Isn't it cute? This was definately a challenge for me - as I would not normally use these colors both together and at all. But I was proven wrong. My card came out SO CUTE!!

Oh, a few more, lol :)

Ok, that's enough.. (he he)

The cute little girl on the stamp is none other than Balloon Sophie.. you can find her here.

The other products that i used were IamRoses and Wild Orchard Crafts flowers, Lindy's Stamp Gang (tuscan sun), seam binding, paper doily, glossy accents, jute rope and pearl strands.

So/Sew Sweet Image Postcard Swap (Closed)

Hey all!!

I am hosting another swap this month! Why? Because I LOVE it!! Anywhoo, the theme for this month is So/Sew (either one you want to roll with) Sweet Image Postcard.

Here are the RULES:

*Create a sturdy postcard (using lght wght chipboard, white board, cereal boxes..etc) the measurements are 4x6.

*Decorate the front of your card using dimension (flowers, lace, trims, pearls etc..)

*Must have the words (SEW SWEET OR SO SWEET) somewhere on the front.

*Must use an image on the front (can be stamped, colored, pre-colored..etc)


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

*Choose your style - shabby chic or grunge

*Attach your blog or yt name on your PACKAGING (please do not write on the swap item itself) so we can give you proper credit and the receipient can re-use it.

*SEND A RETURN ENVELOPE AND STAMPS (you dont have to adhere them to your envelope)

Dress Form Stick Pin Card Swap - Closed

Hey all!!

It is time for another Awesome swap!! Shout out to Tracel J for the suggestion! If you haven't viewed the video - click here.
Here are the details:

Make an Easel Stick Pin Card using this tutorial.


The theme is Dress Form. There has to be a dress form somewhere on the card. You can use diecuts, stamps etc. Here is an example of what the swaps should look like.


Here is another option for the dress forms. TheCuttingCafe has them available for PDF, SVG, WPC. Find it here.


You must make 5 stick pins per card. Please make nice full stick pins to swap. Make sure that you uses at the very least beads and bead caps.


I will try to keep the swaps to 3-4 people so you won't have to make too many pins.


Swaps are open from April 25th to April 30th. Groups will be posted on May 1st.


Swaps must be mailed by May 25th - for US residents. For International swappers, please send your swap at least 2 weeks in advance to allow shipping time.


Please mail packages in a SASE with at least the same amount of postage it took to mail them. Please no postage labels. Use good old regular stamps.


The list of swappers with be added below. Groups will be formed and posted on May 1st.
