Chalkboard Paint Series - Day #2

Hey all,

I'm back with another chalkboard idea. Today's chalkboard lesson is surrounding: wood!

You can get these cute little wood pieces at Joann's Fabric Store. They are in the bin, with the other $1 items. There are many different shapes and sizes to choose from. I started out with chalkboard spray paint, then I made a scallop template to cover the wood. I took another color of regular spray paint and sprayed over that. I removed the template and voila! You can check the video out here, if you are interested.

Here is a couple pictures of the project:

I think they turned out so cute! On the back, I attached some magnets. These will hand in my kids' locker at school :)

Chalkboard Series - Day #1

Hey all!

Okay, as if I can't get enough series, right? I love it though :) So, here is one that focuses on chalkboard paint (as if you can't read the title ). I came across the many, many uses of this stuff on Pinterest. It is a lovely place to inspire and BE inspired!

I decided to start playing around with it on my own. WOW! This is fun.. And 5 project later - a series was born :)

Here is a quick tutorial for the DIY Chalkboard paint. She rocked this tut!

http://www.abeautifulmess.com/2012/02/how-to-mix-chalkboard-paint-in-any-color.html

You can also buy the spray paint and the pre-made version at any Wal-Mart. The spray paint is under $4 and the pre-made is under $10. I made some myself, following the tutorial for about $13. This is the better option, because you can make the amount you need, as needed. You'll get a lot more, since you're buying it in bulk.

So here is Day 1's video regarding this lesson. Today's lesson: Die Cuts!

These are so versatile - take a look:

I ended up making a full 12x12 of these die cuts! I ran them through my Silhouette Cameo. I'll have them for days to come :)

I also made some cute cards using the banner pieces and some hardly ever used washi tape. This is a great way to used those up too :) Here is what I created:

They turned out really cute - if I can say so myself :)

The last thing I created with the die cuts is a cute packaging idea. This can be used for birthday's, Christmas, Valentines..etc. Think of different colors, shapes and sizes - possibilities are endless :) Here a pic:

So cute!! Thanks for stopping by and please don't forget to let me know you where here! I'd love to hear from you :)

Hey all,

I'm here today with an exciting project share! It is the end of our term over at The Cutting CafĂ©  and we are celebrating with a Blog Hop!  Each of the girls in the hop are giving away the very set that they used in their project.

My project is featuring the  POLAROID AND CAMERA FUN TEMPLATE AND PRINTABLE SET.  (click the link to view) Please leave a comment to be able to win this set.  I will randomly draw a winner by August 31st (this Saturday).

Now, on to the next AWESOME hopper. Flowerdisco Agnes is next in line - so pay her a visit to see her amazing project and to see which set she decided to go with :) Maybe you can be a winner!! The rest of the hop participants will be below as well ;)

BUT - before you go - check out what I made. I created an mini album in a box. If you want to check the video out - here ya go! I used the Hopscotch paper collection from Colorbok. It is not the typical colors I would used - but it was perfect for the project! I think it turned out beautiful! Beware of picture overload ;)

I love how this turned out!!! Maybe you can try it too! I used my bind it all to bind the pages and black lightweight chipboard as my base.

Shabby Chic - Prima Lyric Canvas

Hey all!

I am catching up (again) on some projects I completed. As we all know, life gets in the way and crafting tends to take a back seat. At lot of times I will spend a weekend getting a TON of stuff created and taped. Its easier to take just a couple minutes to upload the file, than to do a blog post. For me it is anyway:)

ANYWHOO! This post is about my finance and daughter. They LOVE watching The Game Plan with the Rock. They are the cutest thing to watch together ;) If you want to see the project in greater detail - you can check the video out here.

Here is a TON of pictures for your viewing eye :)

I love how the canvas turned out!! Thanks for stopping by - please leave a comment to let me know what you think :)
