Hey all!!!
Well, I'm Super excited to be able to share my first journal of the year!! It is bought you by Tsunami Rose. Daisy Collins invited me to be a guest designer for her Zibbet/Etsy shop - Tsunami Rose. Thank you so much for the opportunity, Daisy.
The challenge this month was to use the Monochrome "Pink" journal kit. This kit is loaded with 5x7 shabby chic pages, pockets, journaling cards, tags, envelopes and much more!
I chose to add some gray and white to give it extra flair. I chose to use the coptic stitch binding method for my book. This allows the book to remain flat when I writing. It's also a pretty sturdy way to keep everything together.
For my front cover I added a 4x6 faux metal frame as my focal piece. I adorned the book with white pearls. Love that dainty look. I created a handmade fabric flower in the corner. There are doilies and lace behind the frame. I also sprayed some of my homemade shimmer to some white flowers I had in my stash. You can view the tutorial here if you want to learn to make your own. Take a peek:
I choose to leave the inside pages as flat as possible. After all, I want to be able to carry it in my purse. I used only the embellishments that came from the kit. In between the pictured pages (below) I have included 4 sheet of copy paper (folded to make 8 half pages) to use for my writing. Since I was using this for a month, I needed the extra writing room! Love them! Here’s a look see:
With just the Monochrome pages alone, there are lots of places that I can journal,
leave little notes or small keepsakes. I am looking forward to the next
journal! Be sure to check out Daisy’s Zibbet Shop or Etsy Shop for this and
other Awesome files!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs,
Tmika
